Scope

  • Support Head of IT in the development and implementation of IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
  • Define and setup tools and processes to monitor the organization’s complex arrangement of servers, networks, and computer systems for irregularities and performance issues
  • Management of the storage, backup and recovery of AEUK information and data
  • Management of infrastructure security operations
  • Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software
  • Resolve infrastructure issues escalated by specialist technicians
  • Ensure data and information is handled, transferred or processed according to local, group or external authority governance and policies,
  • Manage the technical requirements of contracts with vendors
  • Develop and update IT policies
  • Manage a team of IT specialists and carry out appraisals

Knowledge, skills and personal qualities required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience working in an IT development or support environment
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures using various technologies
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of any of the following: Cisco, Active Directory, Windows Server 2012, SAN, NAS, Linux, VMware, ITIL
  • Managing multiple complex infrastructures with different technologies
  • Experience of managing staff
