Scope

  • Design, develop, and activate technical solutions based on business requirements;
  • Review and understand system specifications;
  • Act as key technical stakeholder to improvements, suggesting concepts and directives;
  • Collaborate technically with external teams and Divisions to enable consistency and understand dependencies throughout the business;
  • Understand and proactively approach enhancement and change opportunities with applications and toolsets, factoring in risks;
  • Advise test and acceptance strategy to internal stakeholders;
  • Be a key part in developing IT applications landscape, linking together applications and toolsets to create efficient and effective results;
  • Work with Business Application Team Leader and Head of IT to turn the IT applications landscape in to roadmap;
  • Work with Business Application Team Leader to develop and maintain an Applications Catalogue;
  • Share knowledge and mentor/assists team members and other peers in specific technologies;
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry developments and best practices;
  • Act as a key resource during Disaster Recovery and Major Incidents instances;
  • As much as possible, adhere to a software lifecycle - waterfall or agile, for example;
  • Become a key driver and architect of future ERP system transitions;
  • Be aware of Application Security and advise where and when required;
  • Maintain ability to continue technical work when required

Knowledge and experience (will be developed in the job role if not held)

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Visual Studio, SSMS, Database Administration and Architecture, SharePoint, Teamcenter, Deltek Cobra, EPLAN, and other business applications;
  • Wide range of Interface and Integration skills, such as APIs;
  • Project Management knowledge;
  • Business Analysis skills;
  • History of application and software development;
  • 'Systems Thinker';
  • Detail-specific;
  • Proven ability to take initiative;
  • Problem-solving aptitude
